This session will be an in-depth presentation that discusses the merits of proactive project management and how this can be used in one’s daily work. The session will start off with an overview of project management research and why it is important to apply this practice into daily work (referencing a previous GPA Journal article). There will then be a presentation on use and applicability of a project management plan and project charter. The presenter will infuse real life examples and also integrate free tools that can be developed by the participants after the completion of the webinar.

Presenter:
Rachel Werner, Owner and CEO of RBW Strategy, has 14 years of grants, consulting and project management experience in the nonprofit, government and corporate sectors. Since the beginning of her career, she has helped to garner nearly $20 million in grants and contracts. She graduated from Vassar College and received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University. She has also obtained a Certificate in Grants Management, is a certified Project Management Professional, and is a Certified Grants Professional. She is actively involved in the Grant Professionals Association and conducts trainings at national and local conferences.
