Description

The sustainability question is a stumbling block for many grant professionals. Federal, and state government grants, as well as foundation and corporate grants all ask a sustainability question in one form or another.

The intuitive and seemingly easy answer is usually, “I’ll just work harder, do my job better and write more grants.” However, this answer will not get you any points and in some cases, end your grant proposal’s review entirely.

As a seasoned grant professional and owner of a grant development consulting firm, Margit Brazda Poirier writes hundreds of proposals for dozens of organizations, large and small. Danny Blitch is a long-time grant professional specializing in the difficult terrain of federal grants is also an expert fundraiser. With more than 40-years of proposal development between us - if you are thinking it, we have tried it or read it as a reviewer. We are going to share our tips for answering this important question.

We will discuss common pitfalls, how to avoid the easy answer trap, and a truck load of tips for grant professionals of all service levels.
