All grant writers and grantees want to improve their relationships with foundations, which is critical to funding success. The overall goal of "3 Things Foundations Wish Grantees Would (and Wouldn't!) Do" is to expand the view of the grant writer beyond their organization's needs to consider the foundation as a strategic partner, understand their perspective as a funder and develop stronger collaborative relationships that align the organization and funder's priorities and interests. The learning objectives will be achieved through a webinar lecture format, with specific case examples discussed.

Presenter:
Ms. Kara Mostowy has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with  extensive experience in resource development and as a nonprofit CEO. In  her roles, she has developed successful relationships with board members,  funders, donors, staff and peers. A significant portion of Ms. Mostowy's work focuses upon grants, through which she leverages support through diverse funding sources. Ms. Mostowy has attained the CFRE and GPC credentials, and enjoys speaking at AFP and GPC conferences, as well as at institutions of higher education.
