"I'm a grant writer. I write the application. It's up to the program team to come up with the design." I've heard this statement and variations of it since I began writing proposals. While I agree in many ways, being proficient in program design can make proposal writing so much easier. 

Understanding the principles of program design and facilitating good program design conversations elevates the grant pro's skill and ability to write fundable proposals.

In this session, we will discuss the most important parts of program design, what needs to be decided before application and what can be left to after award, ways to mine information from program staff, and how to translate the program design into a grant proposal.

Stacy is a federal grant specialist with awards totaling over $100 million. When she is not writing for and managing grant projects, she is busy assisting clients in the public and private sector with program design, process improvement, and program implementation. She earned her MBA with a final thesis on strategic planning while implementing Covey's 4 Disciplines of Execution. She proudly shares her passion for data-driven decision making backed by Lean and Six-Sigma Green Belt Certifications.
