Webinar Description:

For those grant professionals tasked with finding and securing funds from private funders, the world of foundations (or other non-public funding sources) can seem daunting. Often, there are no uniform guidelines, no explicit submission instructions, and most don’t have websites or working phone numbers. Many are not even accepting unsolicited requests for support. How is a grant professional supposed to navigate these uncharted waters? With over 20 years working with private funders, David Broussard, GPC will share his knowledge and experience to bring some order and clarity to the unpredictable world of private funding.

In this presentation, we will:

  1. Explore which information is the most and least important when researching private funders;
  2. Learn how to “follow the leads” to find non-traditional sources of private foundation information;
  3. Share examples of how to bring that information together to create a data-driven strategy to begin a relationship with funders, and;
  4. Hear examples of when strategies worked, when they didn’t, and how to follow-up or mark as “not pursuing.”
