Webinar Description:

“Begin with the end in mind.” Learn the importance of establishing comprehensive data definitions and identifying data sources, analytic tools, and responsibilities at the proposal stage to influence effective and compliant post-award grant implementation and management, and timely and complete reporting of project performance.

In this session, learn how data plays a key role to:
1) shape proposal design;
2) guide project implementation; and
3) document project performance – both successes and lessons learned.

From the initial needs assessment to the final report, ongoing analysis of data forms the basis to establish performance metrics and examine project management and performance through evaluation practices that focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Gain new knowledge on infusing data for an effective grant application and how to use proposal data to:
1) guide effective implementation;
2) identify and address barriers to project implementation and management; and
3) document project outcomes.

Presenters provide clear and compelling examples of how to identify and source data used in grant proposals, including labor market information, census data, and institutional data, and how to use this data to guide selection of project objectives and set compelling performance metrics, especially for those metrics that are prescribed by the funding agency. Participants gain an increase in awareness and understanding of the different types of data available through a variety of sources, including internal and external data, like compliance, strategic, organizational, and operational, and how to best leverage data across the grants lifecycle.
