This workshop will provide tools and instruction needed to create a successful annual grants strategy encompassing an entire year of grant seeking and management. Attendees will learn how to locate, research, and vet grant funders, and calculate the probability of receiving an award. The creation of the annual grants strategy is guided by my Master Grants Planner, a document I developed and which I use with all of my clients. Each attendee will receive a hard copy and access to a downloadable copy of the Planner for their personal use. I will also demonstrate how the Planner can be used as the foundation for various reports, grant calendars, and as a project management tool to use with others.

The workshop will allow attendees to discuss real examples of common conflicts that arise when creating a grants strategy (such as competing deadlines, proposal requirements, and more) and ways to use the Planner to solve those issues. There will be a question and answer session at the end.

Ashley Cain has successfully written grants for nonprofit organizations for almost 2 decades, raising millions in funding for programs, projects, and operating costs. She is CEO of Cain Nonprofit Solutions, a consultancy offering grant writing, research, strategy, web development, and eTraining services to arts and culture nonprofits across the United States. Ashley also co-owns Painted Post Publications along with her business partner and fellow GPA member, Bruce Ripley. Painted Post Publications publishes books and trainings related to grant writing and nonprofit work.
