Often, it can be easy to get caught up in the technical aspect of grant writing, using the proven "formulas" that work well and get results and relying on our impeccable use of grammar to impress grant funders. While those are all great approaches to writing your narrative, let's put some of the art back into grant writing! In this session, we will explore how to use creative writing techniques to spice up your grant narrative using: language, tone, rhythm, and so much more to create compelling stories that answer the funders' questions with style. 

At the end of this session, we want you to feel confident in your abilities to construct an effective grant application and write a convincing case for funding by applying the creative writing techniques we have discussed and our 3-step writing process to your own grant writing.

She founded her grant consulting company, The Dotted i, in 2014 with a mission to help nonprofits find and secure grants to reach their mission and goals. She's got over 13 years of successful grant writing experience working with municipalities, tribal entities and nonprofit organizations and earned her GPC in 2011. Bre is happiest helping others succeed!

Hannah has a background in human development, education, and community health which gives her a well-rounded approach to grant seeking, identifying an organization's need, and building relationships with funders. She joined The Dotted i in 2017 and supports nonprofits through thoughtful project development and successful grant writing. As the daughter of a journalist, her investigative spirit lends itself to thorough research and identifying the details that will sell your organization's story!
